------------------------------
Version 3.0 Updates (07/15/08)
------------------------------

- Future updates will now include tags for specific updates done to
Normal Kikyo or Metal Kikyo. If the update affects both, no tag
     will be denoted.
- Kikyo's combo limit abolished. It turns out that Kikyo does have a
theoretical infinite in the game of origin, not including damage
     dampening.
- Kikyo's damage dampening changed to that of Capcom Fighting Jam.
Purification is now subject to both this damage dampening as well
as the 40% damage decrease from its standalone version.
- Kikyo's Air Throw now performs wallslam.
- Adjusted some required sprites.
- Purification's damage slightly decreased. This was a result of
Purification now being affected by damage dampening. Alone, the move
now deals 95 damage total (instead of 100).
- Hyper Background changed back to blue like in game of origin, but with
a modified feel to it. The win portrait background still utilizes
     the orange background.
- [Normal] Kagome & Inuyasha Double Attack damages increased, & now subject
     to damage dampening.
- [Normal] Normal Kikyo now gets up almost immediately after hitting
     the ground when knocked down.
- [Normal] Striker Select screen completely redone. CvS groove select
sound added plus character dialog for the selected striker for both
     english and japanese soundpacks included.
- [Normal] Double Attack mechanics changed. You can select a striker
for the Double Attack only during the first round and will carry
over between rounds. You can no longer change strikers between
rounds. In addition, the Double Attack now uses its own gauge
instead of Kikyo's main power bar. This is mostly an accuracy
fix, but it does make the Double Attacks easier to pull off,
but can only be used a maximum of 3 consecutive times (As
opposed to 6 consecutive times in the older versions).
- [Normal] Win quotes and dialogue box for winquotes changed. The box
now resembles that used the Megaman Zero games.
- [Normal] Double Attacks no longer use the Super Special background
animation and sound. The screen now fades to black like in the
original game, and the character will scream out.
- [Normal] Win portrait changed.
- [Normal] Kagome Double Attack reverted back to the way it was before
     version 2.2
- [Normal] The camera no longer follows staggering opponents (as a
result of Kikyo's Guard Counter & Double Attacks)
- [Normal] Double Attacks now require a full Team Gauge (3 bars) to
be comboed into. Using the move by itself only costs 1 bar.
- [Metal] Metal Kikyo no longer displays winquotes.

------------------------------
Version 2.2 Updates (05/05/08)
------------------------------

- Added 9020 and 6666X Midnight Bliss compatability.
- Metal Kikyo now included. Use Metal.def to use Metal Kikyo
- Hyper Armor for Metal Kikyo fixed.
- Kagome Double Attack changed. Kagome's spawn point is now relative to
the opponent's position from the screen edges. Kagome will spawn behind
Kikyo if the opponent is far away from the edge behind Kikyo, or Kagome
will spawn behind the opponent if the opponent is too close to the edge
  behind Kikyo.
NOTE: Depending on where Kagome spawns, she'll either hit the opponent
away from Kikyo, or towards Kikyo. Use this to your advantage. :p

----------------------
Version 2.1 (04/02/08)
----------------------

- First hit of Double Attacks now do 23 damage. This was overlooked from
  the original game.
- Corrected animation used in Kikyo's Double Attacks.
- Corrected stun state animation on Kikyo's Double Attacks.
- Kagome & Inuyasha strikers now come out earlier
- Increased velocity on Kagome's Arrow.
- Kikyo can now combo into her Ascension, Curse Deflector, and Sacred Arrow.
This was also overlooked in the original game.
NOTE: Kikyo can still be hit while comboing into her Sacred Arrow.
- Kikyo can no longer combo from her Standing Attacks into her Crouching
Attacks after the 2nd hit in a combo. Not only was this overlooked in
the original game, but Kikyo needed this as she was able to deal close to
50% damage with combos alone. She can still combo from Crouching to
  Standing, however.
- Kagome and Inuyasha Double Attack's damages reduced to 87. This is to
compensate for the first hit of the Double Attack now dealing damage.
This means the total damage from Double Attacks is now 110.
- Added psuedo-Melty Blood damage dampening to the normal hits in Kikyo's
combos. Her Specials and Double Attacks are not affected by this.
- Added a pause when Kikyo's Guard Counter is successful.
- "Fuck You" section added to readme.
- Re-added JPN voicepack.
- Arcade intro removed, to avoid potential legal problems.

To Do:

- Added automatic facing to Guard Counter. Kikyo should face the opponent at
  all times now.

------------------------------
Version 2.0 (12/25/07)
------------------------------

- Added Velocity to Kikyo's Air Throw. She now floats slowly downward instead of
using her previous velocity (she won't fall offscreen anymore)
- Corrected a few AI errors
- Added AI Guarding, kudos to Necromancer's code archive
- Fixed pausetimes on Kikyo's projectiles. She should now be able to damage hyper
armor characters such as Master Hand.
- Fixed bug where Air Throw wouldn't cause damage.
- Air Throw damage increased from 60 to 70.
- Revised Counterattack. Kikyo now puts the opponent into a stun state rather than
throw them backwards, setting the opponent up for combos. This system should be
pretty accurate to the one used in Feudal fairy Tale.
- Maximum hits in a combo increased to 13 (Counterattack + 7 hits + 5 hits from
Purification. Counterattack deals no damage, however.)
- Anti-cheap move removed. Replaced with Metal Kikyo. The two are functionally
the same, except Metal Kikyo is watered down a bit.
- Normal Throw damage increased from 48 to 72 damage total.
- Inuyasha Palette replaced with Philadelphia Eagles Palette.
- Fixed a bug with Kikyo's backward dash attack that made her dash forward afterward.
- Purification now deals 60% of its normal damage when comboed into. Using Purification
by itself still deals normal damage. The overall damage should be identical to the
  game of origin now.
- Removed certain Clsn2 boxes on Kikyo's Strong Aerial attack, as well as reduced range.
- Added Kagome & Inuyasha Strikers. Both requires 500 power (half super bar) to use.
- Added Tag Select between rounds. Three options are available:
NONE - No tag selection. Kikyo won't use strikers.
KAGOME - Uses Kagome as a striker. Fires an arrow
INUYASHA - Uses Inuyasha as a striker. Performs Wind Scar/Kaze no Kizu at close range.
- Credits to VinceJ added in Special Thanks section of this FAQ.
- Reduced the occurence rate of the "I CAN'T TAKE IT MUCH LONGER" voice clip. I was getting
complaints about how annoying it sounds every time. Now occurs only when 30% health or
  below
- Curse Deflector's range slightly increased. Also given infinite priority and a slightly
  longer start-up time.

----------------------
Version 1.3 (08/15/07)
----------------------

- Air Throw bug fixed. Kikyo no longer pauses in midair, and will use her
Air Strong Attack if the throw fails (or misses).
- Re-aligned Walking sprites. Kikyo's animation should look smoother while
  walking now.
- Added Dashing Sounds
- Kikyo's Win Portrait completely redone.
- Adjusted Kikyo's Hyper Armor in Anti-Cheap mode. She won't freeze in
  one place as often.
- Kikyo's Parries can now be done against Throw moves.
- Kikyo can no longer pull off infinite combos. The most hits Kikyo can
do in a combo now is 12 (7 hits + 5 hits from Purification)
- Added Air Throw
- Adjusted Timing of Super Pause on Kikyo's Sacred Arrow
- New Hyper Background. Hyper Background now Animated and gives
sort of a more official look.
- Added Intro Storyboard for Arcade mode. Lame plotline ftw :p
- Added the following to Kikyo's Anti-Cheap mode activation list:

  Super Mario 64 (Hanyou)
  Omega Tiger Woods (Most Mysterious)
  Sigma (N64Mario)
  Shinobi (Pirata Ciberntico)
  Super Metroid (N64Mario)
  SnowWolf's broken Megaman Bosses
  DarkMasterS's Cyber Shredder & Psycho/Lord Shredder
  Naruto-kun (Youkai)

- Added Kikyo's Crouching Parry.
- Altered colors of Kagome palette. Her Soul Collectors now appear orange
  on this pal.
- Added Win Portrait when Kikyo wins the match (wins at least 2 rounds,
  depending on your MUGEN settings)
- Fixed positioning of Kikyo's win pose. It was slightly misaligned.
- Added Kikyo's alternate win pose.
- Kikyo's AI is now activated via the XOR method.
- Tweaked Kikyo's Parry/Counterattack. It should be easier to execute and
shouldn't cause Helper clone glitches anymore.
- New Palettes Added:
  - Inuyasha Palette (Kikyo wears dogboy's robe of the fire rat. Some colors
    messed up)
  - Arcueid Palette (Aside from the dull blonde hair, Kikyo takes on
    Arc-chan's colors)
- (English Voicepack Only) Added new win sound for alternate win animation

----------------------
Version 1.2 (07/28/07)
----------------------

- Anti-Cheap mode added.
- Fixed Velocities on Kikyo's Special Attacks and Sacred Arrow Hyper
- Can now Parry/Counterattack while guarding. Still doesn't work against
  projectiles though.
- Slight repositioning of the Sacred Arrow & Ascension Projectiles.
- Added Kikyo's Soul Collector Throw. Unlike her throw in Feudal Fairy Tale,
this uses Kikyo's Ascension animation instead of her Strong Attack
Animation, and the Soul Collector hits 5 times instead of 3 (the total damage
is roughly the same as it should be in Feudal Fairy Tale, however)
- Improved Transparencies on Kikyo's Purification Attack. The Soul Collectors
and their spawn points no longer fade to black.
- Added Kikyo's Parry/Counterattack. Throws the opponent if hit by Normal Attacks.
Unfortunately, the knockback animation is not the same as the one in
  Feudal Fairy Tale.
- Fixed hittimes on Kikyo's attacks. Chaining moves should be slightly easier now.
- In addition to above, Kikyo's Purification no longer resets the Combo Counter
- Purification's sound is now played just as Kikyo fires her Sacred Arrow
- (English Voicepack only) Ascension & Purification sounds switched
- (English Voicepack only) Added sounds to Kikyo's hitstates
- (English Voicepack only) Added sound for Get up animation
- (English Voicepack only) Changed Intro and Lose by Time Over sounds

----------------------
Version 1.1 (07/23/07)
----------------------

- Added missing Clsn2 boxes on some of Kikyo's attacks
- Added missing required sprites I had overlooked
- Repositioned Hitsparks on attacks that needed it
- Re-ripped Sacred Arrow animation. Graphically it looks better
- Erased afterimage of bow string on Kikyo's dash attacks. This
  is purely cosmetic.
- Replaced Clsn2Default boxes on most of Kikyo's attacks with
Clsn2 boxes. Dunno if this makes a difference, but it should
avoid confusion when checking her Clsn boxes in debug mode.
- Fixed delay on hitsound for Kikyo's Sacred Arrow.
- Added an AI. Not a tough AI, so expect an update on this.
- ENGLISH VOICEPACK ADDED! HOORAY, BEER! err, Ms. Johnson rather

----------------------------------------
Version 1.0 (07/15/07) - Initial Release
----------------------------------------

- nothing to note. This was the first version.

---------------
Attacks
---------------

a Guard Counter
b Strong Attack
c Dash backward
x Special Attacks (see below)
y Weak Attack
z Dash forward
Start Double Attacks (requires 1 bar of Team Gauge)

x Purification
F + x Ascension
B + x Curse Deflector
D, D, x Sacred Arrow (1000 power)

Combos:

Chain Y, B, Down+Y, and Down+B. Doing the same command twice in a row after the
2nd hit in a chain (or if you reach 7 hits) will make Kikyo use her Purification,
thus, ending the combo. If comboed into, Purification and Ascension will deal
60% of their normal damage.

NOTE: As of Version 2.1, Kikyo can no longer combo from Standing to Crouching
after the 2nd hit in a combo. She can still go from Crouching to Standing,
however.

NOTE: As of Version 3.0, Kikyo can now hit more than 13 hits in a combo, a limit
which was implemented due to lack knowledge of the source game's inner programming.
Can be done as follows:

Y, Y, Y, B, Y, pause, repeat OR
B, B, Y, B, Y, pause, repeat

In the game of origin, doing this process can easily net you at least a 13 hit
combo (which would equate to a 15 hit combo in MUGEN as Kikyo's Purification
has 2 extra hits)

NOTE: As of Version 4.0, Kikyo can now combo into her Specials and Sacred Arrow, as
well as use her forward dash attack as a combo starter. This strays away from the game
of origin, but it gives Kikyo the boost she needs against tougher opponents.

While Dashing:

b, c, y, or z Dash Attack

------------------------------------
Metal Kikyo - Released in v.2.2
------------------------------------

Replacing the old Anti-cheap mode in v.1.X, and can be accessed by using
Metal.def (not included in 2.0 or 2.1 due to time restraints)

Here's a brief description of Metal/Anti-cheap Kikyo:

[*] Metal Kikyo doesn't talk
[*] Metal Kikyo can't use Double attacks
[*] Metal Kikyo moves slightly slower, but has Hyper Armor
[*] Metal Kikyo's attack and defense are set to 135 and 150, respectively
[*] Metal Kikyo's Curse Deflector restores health.
